2005 Grizzly 660 Special Edition - $5500 obo...
(Full price offer gets $850 Carmate trailer to hail it and a very nice plow FREE!)
I picked up this bike as a wreck a number of months ago.
I have since taken it all the way down to the frame and rebuilt it completely from the ground up replacing any worn
or damaged parts along the way. All new brake pads. I also regreased all fittings, bushings, and anything else requiring a bit of lubrication.
Fresh oil change. New gear oil in the front and rear differentials. All new radiator fluid. I did not go inside the engine or transmission at all.
There are many new OEM parts, and a few performance upgrades. I have a winch here for it, which came on the wrecked bike, but I haven't
tested or re-installed it... The plow mounting plate is also not installed, but is here...
Below you can see the list of modifications to the bike from stock that I know of. I've also stuck a few pics in at the bottom of the
page of what the bike looks like. The bike runs great, very fast and powerful. I would like to see it sold soon, so don't be afraid to make
an offer. I have the clear title in hand. I also have receipts showing the original showroom price of $7,524...
The bike shows less than 2,400 miles on the odometer.
There are too many new parts to list them all. You'll just have to see it in person and I can show you!
Aftermarket Parts:
Known Issues: (In the spirit of full disclosure) Most issues are cosmetic. Nothing out of the ordinary for a used bike.
- Rear fender and front "hood" plastics were not replaced, therefore there are some minor scuffs associated with normal wear and tear.
- Normal Grizzly 660 Shifter linkage headaches. (One day is shifts like butter, other days it has an attitude)
- Park does not seem to engage. I've asked others about this, and they claim practically all Grizzly's need to be "rocked" to get the park light to come on and the pin to engage. I have not had luck with this.
- I can't pinpoint it, but today when I washed it, I noticed that there seems to be a small grease leak on the right rear CV boot...
I've wiped it down and it takes a while for it to become noticeable again, but it definately has a small leak somewhere on that rubber boot.
Thanks much for looking, and of course, email me with any questions you may have... I'm open to interesting trades, so don't be afraid to offer something up... :)
Here is a little vid of the bike before the last couple pieces were on it... I'll try to get an updated one soon... But I just wanted folks to be able to see that it does run and idle well... Video
